The highly skilled team is lead by the ever talented  Dr. Hannes Scheepers. Dainfern Dental Studio offers a raft of dental solutions, one of them is the unique Invisalign invisible braces. Below are some of the most frequently asked questions pertaining to Invisalign.

Invisalign is a clear alternative to conventional braces. Don’t be shy to get braces or afraid to have to go through months of having wires in your mouth. The new age of braces has arrived with Invisalign.

Invisalign are clear, translucent plates that straighten your teeth in the same way that conventional braces (“train tracks”) would have. Easy to use, invisible and comfortable, Invisalign can straighten your teeth without having any effect on your day-to-day activities.

How do they work?

Invisalign works by gradually shifting teeth into their optimal position and ultimately making your teeth straighter for that perfect smile. The process is relatively simple and that perfect smile is achieved by wearing a series of aligners, each for 22 hours a day, 2 weeks at a time (one stage), which move the teeth up to 0.3mm per stage until their optimal alignment has been reached. Many people refer to Invisalign as transparent or invisible braces as they are made from transparent FDA Approved material. A benefit of this is that you will be able to wear them without people noticing, boosting your confidence.

How long do they take to work?

After careful study we at Dainfern Dental Studio have concluded that the average treatment time is between 6 and 7 months. That said though, each Invisalign case is different and treatment times may vary between 2 to 12 months depending on your specific dental requirements.

How do I care for them?

Dental hygiene is extremely important, thus, cleaning your Invisalign braces will ensure a healthy smile all day long. We recommend cleaning your braces every morning and every night when you clean your teeth. It is also advised to make use of a soft bristle toothbrush with cold water and a small amount of soap. This will ensure that they remain clean and fresh.
